This one goes out to all the kids who hate school or have been told they’re too much of a distraction to the other students. I was once in their exact same shoes. I hated going to school, and I was convinced that my teachers hated me.

I was no good at reading, writing, or focusing on whatever was being taught. So by the time I reached my senior year, I’d been kicked out of 12 different schools… but what kept me thinking positively was my desire to one day become a barber. It wasn’t until that final year of school that I met a teacher who actually listened to my dreams.

If I could try my hardest to focus and learn from Monday to Thursday, I could cut hair on Fridays. And that’s exactly what I did. I cut my friends’ hair, and I even cut that teacher’s hair on a couple of occasions.

And I loved it. Barbering was the distraction I needed - and being able to chase my passion and develop that skill changed my life forever. 

Now, I want to help other children do the same.

Cutting hair is something that human beings have been doing for literally thousands of years - and I don’t see us stopping anytime soon.
